I'm curious about smartphone updates. Akin to PC updates (the bane of Microsoft Os's) we all hear of phone specific updates and the more important OS (Android in this case) releases. I currently use a HTC phone and have been aware that an Android update has been released for it in November last year,it was made available to South Africa in April but no other information was forthcoming.

Does anyone have experience updating their smart phones in Kenya,or know a convenient way to get around the official release wait time?
