Actually I was asking coz am on a network where the office internet is really slow. I can use modem and remove the cable but in this case if I do so i will lose connectivity from the server I am connected to remotely (in the LAN).
Lawi, you can remove the default gateway on the LAN and put a static route to your server. That way you will maintain connectivity to the LAN and to the internet as well regards Patrick
