Probably misunderstanding comes in here. I know of no ISP that will sell you bandwidth in kilobytes/sec (KB), just in kilobits/sec (kbps). KB is commonly used as a measure of file size, and kb/sec as a measure of data transfer. <snipped>
I ran a bandwidth test on CNET, got a 109 kb/s which i would like to believe is Kilo Bits / s not KiloBytes.
