Maybe it was sourced from UK, which is where I hear ke resellers get theirs from. In which case, it costs £659.00. Considering that £1 = $1.62<http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert/?Amount=1&From=GBP&To=USD>, that means if you buy the 64GB iPad 3 from UK Apple Store, and get someone to carry it in for free, you will have bought it for (649*1.62) = $1068, which is about KES 88,644<http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert/?Amount=1068&From=USD&To=KES>. Its interesting to note that Ebrahim Electronics<http://www.ebrahimelectronicsltd.com/appleproducts.html>are selling their's at KES 85k. If you buy the same from the US store, it will cost you KES (829*83) = 68,807, again, assuming you get someone to carry it in for free.
But I guess the crux of this is willing seller willing buyer.
@Moses, Ebrahims are not one of the authorized resellers, which are Elite, Mac & More and Personal Systems Ltd. Mac & More are selling the same model at $1150 <http://mac-more.com/ipad> (or KES 95,450). Elite and PSL do not advertise their prices of their website.
