You could download the sata drivers and load them with an external floppy drive as you install xp. Its old school but it works. But its easier to get a cd/dvd with sata drivers. Many torrent files are available for the same. Alternatively get a xp disk from another hp computer that has sata. The nitty gritty you can sort out later. Am trying to install Windows XP on a recently purchased HP 3010 computer. Before copying files can commence, i get a blue screen with the error that there are no hard drives installed. All attempts to get into BIOS so as to disable the native SATA have been fruitless. Any pointers as to what I can do?
