Note to self, I was able to get this working on an Ultrabook pre-installed with Windows 8 by loosely following the following guidelines... 1. Disable Secure Boot from the BIOS. I didnt test if this interferes with Windows Updates 2. I used a bootable flash disk with Ubuntu 12.10, 64bit edition. It has to be 64bit 3. Then generally followed the guidelines given in the first answer here<http://askubuntu.com/questions/221835/installing-ubuntu-on-a-pre-installed-uefi-supported-windows-8-system> 4. Skunks, Now that Windoz 8 is coming in laptops, has anyone had any experience trying to install a second OS to replace it in a machine or to dual boot, say with Linux? I am reffering to the secure boot that is supposed to come with the OS.
