Who initiates a torrent?
Isn't it the end user, sitting behing a company computer, who has the rights to install (or run) a torrent client?
If its a techie, then they would have their own computer with full rights to access the netwok?

I stopped commenting the moment i saw the comments veering off-topic.

Doesn't it make sense that therefore if there was a way to prevent the torrent from running, it would free the bandwidth? without involving any outside parties?

This concern has spawned a new generation of devices more advanced than a simple firewall.

That's all that everybody is saying.

Get an appliance, and block torrent access, mass mailing, broadcasts, unnecessary traffic and unauthorised users from accessing your network and precious bandwidth.
