Subject: Re: [Skunkworks] Commision Based Sales Software
It feels like what you are seeking is something similar to a CRM or an ERP, where you can also monitor staff performance, Client Accounts and Sales etc etc etc.
Some of CRM are like Sugar CRM etc etc
an example of an ERP is OpenERP
Hope I'm not wrong

you can use some of the available open source ERP software and use their custom tax as a commission. works wonderfully for me.

Before you get to the commissions part,I suggest you look at the
Oracle model which I totally love. You buy a 'Right to Use' software
license and Support for one year. Come the following year you have to
renew the license and support.
Of course the implication in this case is that you may sell it for
less but you are guaranteed an annuity every year. With this in mind
you can then offer your sales team both a sign-on commission and a
residual commission based on renewal because they are account managers
as well - Relationship sales.
Hope this makes sense and eventually lotsa cents.
