1GB RAM is a big difference. That's what determines whether you can run a certain type of OS e.g. Vista or not... On Tue, Apr 27, 2010 at 11:50 PM, Erick NNN <erickarn@gmail.com> wrote:
This is a bit late, but I've done some basic video editing on Vista 32 bit and Vista 64 bit, using Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker. I've found the 64 bit version much more responsive than the 32 bit version, especially when previewing how the final DVD will look before encoding.
The 32 bit Vista (3 GB RAM) would be stop-and-start, while the 64-bit Vista (4 GB RAM) would preview smoothly. Asante.

Been looking at various advantages and disadvantages of 64bit over 32bit. For example, on Windows machines, one key area that helps is RAM that can be pushed to 128GB removing the 4GB barrier that exists on 32bit. 64bit applications availability maybe an issue but anyone who has used say eg a MAC can relate to this better.
Anyone using 64bit on this list. How has the performance been on running 32bit applications like broswers, office tools, games?
