
In my experience, you will likely spend as much on a replacement screen with labor as it would be to buy a new TV. As for pricing, it doesn't hurt to know what you are up against. Look around for a replacement screen cost before you do anything, then ask for labor costs. I ended up getting a cheap replacement on eBay and did the replacement myself, still strong till today.
