Lawrence, your question is a bit difficult. I doubt if there will be anyone willing to give you the info that you are looking for. You may need to do some research. The answers you are getting are basically informing you that what you need is a strategy to avoid data loss. what if the users in the bush lose their laptops? That way you will not have any data to recover. Think more data protection/disaster recovery/backup solutions.
Its not an independent data recovery department, its an extension of IT....
now, anyway who can answer my query?
As for the backup,we have clients working in the 'bush'....and not all off them would be keen on backups....

Oh, OK...now I understand....perhaps it would be good if data recovery
is a function/duty of the overall IT department...instead of creating
a data recovery department.
But if is OK if they want to create employment:-)
I remember back in the day (in a company I used to work for) there
used to be a photocopy department. This department had two people to
operate the photocopier. One person used to receive the documents,
then pass them to the guy doing the photocopying. After the job was
done the guy doing the photocopying would hand the copied documents
back to the first guy who would then hand them over to the person who
wanted the copies.
Kazi iendelee!!!
