@tony yesterday i was calling the same numbers without a hitch, today its a different story. Adding the +254 and removing the leading zero in the ordinary 072x doesn't make any difference.

From experience, +254XXXXXXXXX and 254XXXXXXXXX are not treated the same by a number of Mobile Service Operators.
