Yeah, the PS is better placed to clear the air on the fiber optic cable. Invite him for the Tuesdays talk soon.

I have another idea:-) Could I invite PS Ndemo to speak on IT entrepreneurship one of the skunkworks@tuesdays. Met him recently with innovator Morris Mbetsa and I am actually inclined to think he'd make time for it. (In fact have b'ccd him on this:-)

In yesterdays Sunday Nation, it was reported that TEAMS has hit a financial iceberg: apparently some of the small shareholders( those with 1.25% - Accessk, Inhand, Equip) are unable to pay up and are going back to consult their boards. I know the composition of some of these firms and they boast of some of Kenya's longest serving ICT players. Have they foreseen some major loss/failure of the system or is it just the politics? So is the fiber switched "ON" already? I'd love to know which local ISPs have completely switched to the cable (of course keeping the satellite uplink for redundancy).
