Let me just asking, with all the talk of Safaricom being called the most innovative company, and the fact that they attract some very brilliant IT mind, couldn't they just develop and run this system?

 

Big telecom like AT&T and Verizon and other develop and maintain their system, I don't see why Safaricom has to outsource.

 

I know that buzz word nowadays it outsourcing, but something, especially things that involve money are better run in-house.

 

Safaricom is being reduced to a consumer of technology and vendor of scratch-cards.
