I upgraded from 11.10 and the graphics has given me pure grief. I gather its a problem with the old nvidia proprietary drivers having compatibility issues with the new Xorg release. I had to downgrade Xorg till they fix that issue. other than that Am loving it. <br>

you need to delete all wireless entries network connections -&gt; wireless, then create a new wireless connection, mode: ad-hoc,then under device mac address you have to select your wireless device , then  under the ipv4 settings select &quot;shared to other computers&quot;, save and restart your wireless.. <p>I just noticed the hotspot feature and trying to get it to work. The pc is connected via ethernet, I&#39;ve got wireless and have selected the hotspot option but wireless not seen by other devices.</p>
<p>Has anyone had the hotspot feature work?<br>
More interestingly, using a modem then using ubuntu to share the net?</p>

<p>Given the noise surrounding previous releases I only use LTS releases, so I jumped to 12.04 from 10.04, which had served me without a hitch since I installed it May 2010.</p>
<p>What impressed me was I could work online with wifi as it was installing.</p>
<p>No regrets to speak of! </p>
