i tried that today but the quickbooks he had installed on his machine by a previous techie was counterfeit, i will try that tommorow and post a feedback, thank you

Hello, 

I am currently having a problem getting data from a computer running windows 7 but hosting a virtual machine running XP, the data on the XP virtual machine i fear might have been accidentally deleted by the client, is there a way of recovering this data? 

Secondly, is there a fix to use quickbooks 2006 on windows 7?
