While many may wonder my criticisms of the essential services, I know for a fact that Nairobi's Life Style is not different from many developed cities out there. Nairobi is indeed in the fast lane and the sooner people such as essential and critical services accept this, the better will be the outcome. There is no time to waste and the weekends are indeed that special time, infact balancing time and commitments is a major issue. This has forced many, as in modern cities, to get smart devices so as to balance the demands of availability and the fast paced life. For at least 60 hours a week, almost everyone is leading a fast paced life.
So the problems start when we have people who cannot understand and accept the City culture and its growth demands. It is these same people who are bringing the backwardness of their ways and mental processes that go against a city culture that cannot be controlled. The City life is modern living concept and its population is the heart beat of the nation.
We need to kick out the anti-city culture persons and get people who know and feel what a modern city does.
If your internet connection does not work : These people are holding you back from progress and will never understand what a modern city is.
If you electricity, water and medical are lacking : These people are holding you back from progress and will never understand what a modern city is.
If your Bank and access to financial services are lacking : These people are holding you back from progress and will never understand what a modern city does.
If your vehicle hit a massive pot hole and suffered damage : These people are holding you back from progress and will never understand what a modern city does.
And the list goes on....
One day we will move to a 24 hours City Life i.e Nairobi never shuts down, how will those who cannot grasp the values make this happen?.
If you can connect to the artist, you can connect to the city culture.
Some thots.. :-)
