You may want to check the adult cartoons made in the 70s. The Love of the Ring is just great to watch because it was directed by Ralph_Bakshi, the master of adult cartoons (the same one who did Fritz and blackploitation cartoon "Coonskin") The Hobbit is still fun to watch if you are a fan !
