I belive not every aspects of doing business is tied to revenue, there are other factors that are "image" based but still can be narrowed down to the impact it makes on the bottom line. Example am a YU customer yesterday I wanted to call their customer care as a youth and a techie the first place I will look for this info is on their website. Imediately I find their website down, I start distrusting them with my money and soon I will definately think of a better option. To crown it all for someone to put it casually that "yes not being able to reach us is normal as far as we are under maintenance" that is NOT acceptable.

I suppose that view point would help us understand why websites uptime
has a direct impact on business or not. If you build on this, the
security follows and loads of other issues.
