 every time I try to access this dbase it gives me the below error

The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time. (Error 3197)

the MS Access Center are advising me to look for MS Access 97 of which has been so elusive  any easier way out,
