I have also heard good reviews about it, but personally I believe when it comes to some applications it is better to get them from vendors who specialize in that particular line. For some reason guys in Russia/Estonia and other Baltic states are wizards when it comes to mathematics and numerical analysis (critical for building pattern matching & heuristic based analysis). Which is why they're good at chess and the better antiviruses (Kaspersky KAV, ESET NOD32) come from those sides, and McAfee/Norton get more mediocre by the year. I will personally stick to Nod32 as it has served well for years but will keep an open mind as users report on Security Essentials' effectiveness.
