Can there be a way out of such a situation with the use of individual satelite technologies such as thuraya? I am very sure Egypt has just enlightened governments world wide.

While I agree with the sentiment "may this never hapen in .ke ..." perhaps the better question we should be asking ourselves is how should we organise and protect our internet & telecoms infrastructure so that it CANNOT happen in .ke?
