The Class also counts towards your CPE's (Continuing Professional Education). This is a mandatory requirement for the certification even to keep your CISSP status. The class also helps meet other CISSP's or at least someone that knows where they hide for networking. This comes in handy.
Otherwise my advice still remains, self study, study widely, have fun, then attend one of those K-90's or certified training when close to the exam. Ask all your questions there, discuss your pain points and questions regarding the exam then go take it.
Also note the exam might require travel, if you are self sponsored that can be quite painful.

I would recommend K-90, they are very professional in CISSP training. I attended ISC2 -CISSP Workshop by K-90 last December (1 week - 8.00am-5pm) and it was very nice but expensive. They will organize everything, all you need is to show up for the 6-hour shading exam. You will be given the official ISC2 training materials + the instruct is a certified CISSP instructor from ISC2.
Training - about 200k CISSP - about 50K
