Interestingly, seems that Asterisk is/was listed under the CCK as a type approved device. That means due to its nature as a Pabx, those installating it also need some sort of documentation as certified installers? Now imagine if you went ahead and installed a project based on Asterisk, then regulator guys showed up to do inspections and only to tell the client that the installation is illegal. There will be a time for this. Afterall, installing " telephone " cabling needs to be ceritified to meet standards.Will CCK / Govt stay clear of Software as a Service categories or will such categories be slowly sucked into regulations/requirements?Me thots.
