Some times and most of times IT is pinned down when there is no reliable DRP and BCP in place. But mostly its the organisartions management that doesn't take IT seriously. They view it as an expense rather than an enabler. when days like these arise, is when you go running around like a headless chicken. Othertimes during DRP test s*#t happens and systems fail. I once did DRP tests, and ended up with blown up router and core switch and one server hard drive was gone. aquisation and reconfiguring these equipement was a night mare and a couple days outage.
