Hi Peter,

The eyes.butterfly network is free from the butterfly wifi network. Ue the following credentials to log in, username traffic, password traffic. From any other network there's a charge associated for the use. Our sales team will get in touch with you offlist for the pricing.
Regarding the second part of your query, note that the main infrastructure is web based and hence access from any web application  is possible. Unfortunately feed from the cameras to other applications is restricted at the moment.
Kindly get in touch with me offlist for more info..

Hi John,
eyes.butterfly.co.ke is asking for username and password, is it open only to authorized users? How possible is it (technically) to have some sort of feed from that site which other third party applications can use to access the video feed from those cameras?

There is an article in our favourite Standard Newspaper on page 25
which quotes KDN CEO Kai Wulff saying that "home and office users can
use the company's wi-fi connection (butterfly) for free." how true is
this?

On to other stories, who manages mirror.ac.ke ? They can be of much
help if they uploaded fedora 9 repositories and other up to date Linux
distributions, assuming that the mirror is hosted locally .
