[Skunkworks] Help...looking for the best webhosting solutins...and why is a .ke TLD Expensive?

Hi I'm looking for a credible and reliable webhosting solutions provider and domain registration company. Which one would you suggest? Secondly, I just read on www.kenic.or.ke that a .ke TLD domain name costs like 4k a year! Why? Doesn't it discourage development of local content? Simeon Oriko.
