Wash, Think public private keys and pre authorised certificates. One of these days a key will leak, then the fun begins since they can't really run around updating them all. This would be one certificate you don't want to self sign and or not keep in a vault somewhere. So nothing goes over the. 'wire', just an algorithm on the end user unit does some fancy math. You can take a 'trace' on the wire in your house when loading. It's fun:-) no don't ask me how but if you take a longer look at the unit you can easily work on it. The vouchers are generated by the backend which are translated by the Prepay meter to some units.
