So, bar for any misinterpretation that might have been part of the Business Daily article, the main debate issue raised by the original poster, IMHO, was about the act of spying on Internet users. And to me, this is a fact, and a necessary evil.
Whoever does it or how it is done or through whom doesn't really matter here, at least for the OP. His contention wasprobably with the fact that it's gonna happen (ethics), not knowing that it's been happening already anyway. For instance, how do you suppose the Police were able to pinpoint the individuals who compromised the e-mail accounts of the ICC witnesses?
