hi all,<br><br>i have bravely erased my windows OS and installed ubuntu , but for some strange reason my headphones have no sound and the speakers still work after plugging in the headphones.<br><br>and before you tell me to google i have googled and they say something about sound drivers , i am just hoping someone has experienced this before and the steps they resolved it with.<br>
<br>otherwise my first ubuntu steps haven&#39;t been bad , its actually a wonderful system.<br><br>and finally i have vlc running for movies , what good music players are there for ubuntu ?  <br><br>ubuntu now, ubuntu yesterday , ubuntu forever ( just as soon as i get the headphone thingy fixed)<br>
