thats how , for example, `asking for help` does not become `kuulizia msaada` but  rather  `kuomba msaada`. there are many other examples esp as pertains swa <==> english

hence the reason why translating `reference` into the swa phrase might obscure the intended meaning.

I'd transalate 'to refer' as 'kuashiria.'
Though 'Nambari ya kuashiria' has connotations of pointing!
