Number portability means that you can migrate your MSISDN while you still keep your IMSI. MSISDN is the number like 0722-XXXXXX that is easy for subscribers to remember. IMSI is a number starting with 63902 for Safcom and 63903 for Zain etc. Its 12/14 digits or so. Its that IMSI that is used by the network (MSC , IN platform) to do charging etc. This means that even if your number (MSISDN) might look Safcom, you are actually a ZAIN sub. What matters is the IMSI On Mon, Jul 26, 2010 at 6:47 AM, Dennis Kioko <dmbuvi@gmail.com> wrote:
From the way CCK director Charles Njoroge was saying, it seems that it might be possible to migrate and keep Mpesa on your line. Bank related services should remain intact as they are linked to the line and not network. _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Server donations spreadsheet
