Hmmm, a computer with such a memory size shud be faster than a horse.. There cud be something wrong in the memory handling/access btwn the OS and the memory.. Did you google on this laptop and how to fix it? Eg L2 cache,, clocking or over clocking,, 32 vs 64 bit OS..
