well, whether Apple supports it or not should not deter you. I have on numerous ocassions installed iDeneb - www.ideneb.net on my Dell Lattitiude D620 & Optiplex 755 - its very hardware specific and some things might never work - like audio never worked on the lattitude. I shared the iso's some time back, but if you really want then you can contact me offlist ./Ok3ch On Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 1:59 PM, Jonathan McLean <jmmcl2@gmail.com> wrote:
Last I checked, Apple was not supporting this, nor have they ever. I know if you google it there are plenty of sites out there, some requiring another booted mac while others require a bit of weird bootstrapping, but I am short on details having never completed it myself.
also, don't confuse this with Apple officially supporting what is known as their Boot Camp, which allows you to install windows on macintosh hardware.
cheers
