Moses,

Kiswahili was also mandatory and still is  unless you did not go through 8.4.4, nonetheless these are not language Supremacy battles but user opinions ultimately google will decide, i still strongly disagree with the way you have used the 90% statistics which has resulted in this lengthy discussion, we should not reverse the gains that have been achieved in making this country and the region by extension digitally compliant.

I Guess I lost some of you here..
My Original Post was a Request For Google.co.ke to be in English which is more workable and appropriate rather than "Kiswahili sanifu" which is Difficult and Not Readly understood by more than 90% of Kenyans...These Language Supremacy Battles are am seeing are Totally Uncalled For...Localization should also bear in Mind What is On the Ground..English is A very Local Language in Kenya..All of you Have Gone through an English based Education Curriculum For 16yrs or More..

Now lemme ask, how many times have you tinkered with your language preferences?

Most people (myself included) choose their preferred/default languages when they install the software. But if you had to use a computer with a different preference (for example if you were using a shared computer in a foreign country), then you might have to change it.
