[Skunkworks] Need for Kenya ICT Audit General Office

The level of ICT skills and security awareness in very low or utterly neglicted in this country This is especially so in government ministries, parastals, corporations, Boards and commissions to mention just a few. Tis conclusion is based on the many security lapses highlighted in this forum. For example, the current issue with the knec website. Imagine this is the national organisation charged with safe custody of our exam results. Not to mention the Kenyatta and Nairobi university current issues with thier online systems. I propose the government sets up an ICT Auditor General Office with a responsibility to audit all ICT related issues of government Institutions and advise on areas to improve. What is your take?
