Hi This is a good initiative, looks like we are headed in the same direction. Take a look at Mistari <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.solami.mistari.latin>, a keyboard app that adds Kiswahili, Sheng and other local languages to your smart device (phone, tablet etc) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.solami.mistari.latin Cheers Solami. Fellows,
I remember making a mention earlier in regards to linking up Mombasa and Nairobi Tech Communities. That was actually part of a bigger plan.
We have already started the process of bringing up what will be Mombasa's Technology Hub, The SwahiliBox <http://cio.co.ke/blog/swahilibox-the-next-major-technology-hub-in-africa>, to life, and we have prepped up a team of volunteers to work with us in the process. It is going to be interesting to eventually see how the Nairobi and Mombasa Technology Communities can come together as a result of this.
We shall be sharing the stories as we move along the way. But the next few weeks and months will be God willing very interesting.
