@Job, there are only 2 causes : a) On the pairs that you are using power over, the copper in the cable is too impure and is causing in-line resistance. That means check you power supply unit, it must be heating up quite a lot. b) The power adaptor is supplying current in milliamps eg 100mA, 200mA and is only rated for patch cable lengths. Fix to a) : Get a high quality cable Fix to b) : Get a higher Milliamps adapter, preferably 1000mA or 1 Amp. HTHs.
