Much of the backend was however developed in India.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Though a niche rental service ( Christian and family friendly titles)  it is a pioneer on a number of technical and business model fronts in the country :-</div><div><br></div><div><ul><li>The first fully online DVD rental service ( similar to netflix) that works through a rental queue model</li>
<li>Payments is done through a system similar to mobile credits i.e buy credits through M_PESA and subsequent rentals/ late fees  deducted from your credit.When this credit runs low you have to top up. This model allows us to develop unique rental plans in future  e.g 50 shs per DVD per night </li>
