Wazzat? - You shooting blanks? - Pole bwana... - lakini.. try: 'sudo
passwd gakuru' from an xterm - and enter a blank password there
(twice!)

Or... - if that don't work... kde has a setting to allow autologon -
...and that's pretty much as secure as having a blank password ;) -
sijui if g-nome has a similar 'feature' - in kde I think it's under
'system settings => advanced' somewhere.
