The new look Safaricom website <http://www.safaricom.co.ke> seems easier to navigate though I don't think the overall look and feel is a great improvement. They should have done a better job with the mobile styling to give quick indepth navigation. Also, the move to Joomla from Typo3 is like a step backwards; I say this being a big Joomla fan and user.
