You can try OpenVZ <openvz.org> containers for linux which can also be used on proxmox ve <pve.proxmox.com>. Proxmox has a web based interface for managing the virtual environment and also has KVM. If you are using FreeBSD, you can try FreeBSD Jails. Both FreeBSD Jails and OpenVZ containers share the kernel of the host.
