@Wash, have a look at this link : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/enterprise/how-to-buy.aspx . Volume licensing is much cheaper than buying off the shelf kits as it deals with CALs, central deployment, media kits and the rest. One problem you will have is that unless you buy a volume license, the OS will fail to register at some point and can also be blocked. Under virtualization, it is treated again as a volume license and there are certain numbers to be commited to. Thats my understanding, hope a MS guru on this list can elaborate more. HTHs. :-)
Alvin, I am downloading it now, to test under VMWare. I doubt if you are right, but you could be. So if we wanted to run "Ultimate" in an ORG, there would be no vol licensing?
