Thanks for clarifying this. Even though I don't use prepaid, I always thought along the same lines as Gisho, and always wondered how it is that when you run out of units you'd still be able to reload on a supposedly dead link:-)

No.That data is not transmitted via the power lines to some backend billing system via some "big" LAN.

The vouchers are generated by the backend which are translated by the Prepay meter to some units.
