Finally got in HURRAAYY! I thought you were stretching a bit about the user friendliness, but ALAS you were correct. Normaly I try to give the benefit of the doubt and ignore this lakini hapa KRA deserves a proper thrashing.

A few issues:
1. What does Area mean in Section 2 of The Personal Infomation Page?
2. Try finding GPO Postal Code?
3. The main Business Activity list doesn't seem to be a good choice for what it does. Atleast a Combobox where one can type and the nearest result in brought up.
4. Last but not least the message after clicking send in the page is mind boggling:
"Your form doesn't present mistakes, please review the information before send it!" (That's exactly how it is).

All in all this site gets about 3/10 (and I'm being good coz it's Friday). 3 Coz it's technically faulty (load times) and that indicates poor design which likely means there could be other technical issues, Not user friendly, Not elegant (it's a public website, make it attractive, appealing, ...).

All the best to the dev team. I know one or some of you will curse me for this email. What you feel when you curse me is what 1000s of Kenyans feel when they access the website 8~). Now imagine 1000s of curses!

Lovely weekend.

Thats very true. I was helping someone print their PIN certificates and it took ages to open. Very frustrating! I also find it abit unfriendly to use, and I am IT. I wonder how basic users are supposed to use that site. Links that do not work, pages that seem to open and then freeze!

Mbaya sana!

I wonder who did that system???

Any KRA peeps in the house?

KRA website is unbelievably slow, it's like the server is in Jupiter. I once asked someone at an internet cafe whether that has been the case and he said YES. Infact guys give up and let the cafe attendant login for them and print PIN certificates. That definately doesn't sound good for the KRA system.

I've tried in IE 7 and Firefox 3. The following link is especially a KILLER https://mapato1.kra.go.ke/itms

Being a very important online resource, please ...
