What I am saying is that even at the lowest setting, It is still to bright to be used in the dark. I was looking for a hack to take it lower than that. I have see others complain about the same on the ipad forums. Was trying to see if anyone else had figured out how to do it. Has anyone been able to lower this setting past the max allowed? I find it too bright to be used in the dark.
