That's ignorance by the writer. The guardian uses Joomla, Mashable is Wordpress, Techweez too. Heck, even the PM's site is Joomla. Safaricom store is Joomla. Them being open source does not make them vulnerable. Updates and site security does.
I could not believe my eyes after I saw the article of page 5 of the business daily!
