Odhiambo, thanks for the advice, i needed a work around for my remote office which i really don't need to hustle configuring the router supplying me with the internet, thats y i choose to do it on a pc which will double up as my print server for the office.
i also got another tool here which does the same thing, i find this one better to manage and use....
Another suggestion: Get a Wireless Router (most have 4 ports), cascade it with a switch (like those D-Link 8-ports) and you have a DHCP server. I know this is not free, but it's cheap! You already have a switch, so another 3k and you have a wireless router doing DHCP for you. And you can configure and connect it's WAN port to the XP PC which I think is what you have connected to the Internet.
