Derrick, That is exactly one of the things I though, but I am not sure. The other is that Safaricom has webserver and something like CPanel for managing Virtual Hosting. If anyone is hosting their website with Safaricom, please tell us what it is like. Is it (a) VM or (b) CPanel?? Whichever way, it would be better if we knew the actual nature of the compromise before we can blame anyone. How was the compromise achieved? What application led to it? I don't know, I think all Safaricom does is to provide a virtual machine. Installation and configuration of the server OS and applications is actually done by the client. Maybe Safaricom should provide training or the client should seek the services of professional testers...
