In my village, we are not more than 5km from the main KSM-Busia Rd which is dotted with electricity poles and transformers, BUT it is only last year (2010) that electricity finally found it&#39;s way to us. That is  47 years after we got Uhuru!! Rural Electrification Programme is what helped us. I am wondering what would have happened if there was no REP.<br>



In may places in Central Province, electricity has always been there, permeating every corner of the ridges. That&#39;s why, given that my guess is 90% correct you could be from Central Province, I had to ask whether you migrated to some part of Nyanza:-)<br>
